EcoLeaf Laundry Detergent Bottle

Although this project started as general SolidWorks practice, I decided to integrate my design process into an otherwise straightforward assignment. I practiced surface modeling, while trying to create an environmentally friendly laundry detergent bottle.

THE BOTTLE

This Bottle was surface modeled in Solidworks and was designed using standard DFM principles.

The design of this laundry detergent bottle was supposed to mimic the organic form language of a leaf

IN CONTEXT

The product was inspired by "clean" and "green" design, and as such, for the final render I decided to place it in a bright and organized environment.

ECOLEAF "1.5" - NX

After having gained proficiency in SolidWorks, I began to Learn NX. An assignment was given where we had to take one of our old designs, and redesign it with the Golden Ratio in mind. Version "1.5" uses similar form language as the original, while creating rounder edges and slightly fuller bodies.

Another design decision made within the NX version of this product was to make the connection point from the handles to the main body rounder, for a more comfortable use.
